CIASF is proud to be affiliated with The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). After considering many organizations to support as our Community Service partner, the CIASF Board of Directors approved our choice of NFTE.NFTE (pronounced nif-tee) was founded to inspire young people from low income communities to stay in school, recognize business opportunities and plan for successful futures. Research shows that high risk children, when they are shown how education will benefit them directly in the future, will stay in school. NFTE helps these children develop business plans and acquire the skills to launch their own businesses. A National contest is conducted each year to select the best plan. Last year a Miami Dade student won that competition.

CIASF has made a financial contribution to NFTE and volunteer members will serve on panels to help judge the business plan competition. In addition, members can volunteer to mentor the students as they begin to establish their businesses.

We encourage every member to get involved on whatever level possible.
